If you plan on skiing in Tignes resort this winter then you’ll be able to see this new open-top gondola.
Tignes resort describes it as the “largest and highest tramway in the world” located at an altitude of 3,032m on the Grande Motte Glacier.
Two open-top cabins will offer passengers 360-degree views of one of the most beautiful panoramas of the French Alps letting you see Mont Blanc, the Cime de Bellecôte and the Aiguille de la Grande Sassière.
Financed by the Société des téléphériques de Grande Motte (STGM), the company who operates the Tignes ski area, this new aerial tramway is part of a global investment project called ALTITUDE EXPERIENCES, reaching a EUR 17 million budget.
Opens to the public in May 2019.
