You’ll be seeing this a lot over the coming years; outdoor brands looking for ways to make products from recycled materials in a bid to become more sustainable.
The North Face’s existing Thermoball collection has been a huge success over the years with many of us trusting in how well its down-alternative insulation performs.
And now the company has given the collection a sustainable redesign, calling it the Thermoball Eco and making the jackets and gilets from 100% recycled fabrics.
The outer is a recycled polyester shell and the inside is recycled insulation (developed in partnership with Primaloft) while ‘ensuring protection from the cold whilst protecting the planet’, the brand adds.
The ThermoBall Eco also has an updated baffle alignment which maximises the insulation for lightweight warmth whilst minimising cold spots.
The new ThermoBall Eco collection comes in some additional new colours including glowing orange and classic black.
The items on offer include: a jacket, a jacket with a hood and a gilet.
The Thermoball Eco collection is available now on www.northface.co.uk and in selected stores and chosen retail partners.
