HONDA UK has announced the Africa Twin price on the day of its British unveiling at Motorcycle Live.

The standard bike has switchable ABS at the rear wheel and costs £10,499 while a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) version will be £800 more at £11,299.

Both models benefit from multi-mode Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), which enables the rider to choose the level of rear wheel spin and ABS intervention.

A neat aspect of the Africa Twin DCT system, enhancing its adventure capability, is incline detection.  This adapts the gear shift pattern depending on the grade of any incline, to provide optimum control. It also has a new ‘G’ mode where at the touch of a button, the clutch system is altered to give a more direct drive.

Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the first of four consecutive Paris-Dakar wins for the original Africa Twin.  To celebrate the launch of its successor, coinciding with this milestone, Honda is offering a limited edition, Africa Twin branded TripMaster and a 80-page heritage book for the first 350 pre-order customers.

Competitive finance options are available for both Africa Twin variants, with payments as attractive as £115 per month on PCP* for the ABS model.
