Koh Samui’s Santiburi Beach Resort & Spa has just had a £20 million renovation and is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
More importantly for us adventurers, it offers the perfect mix of luxury and strenuous activities.
The resort is near Mae Nam Beach, on a private half-moon bay with gentle surf and warm, lapping waves, making it ideal for long lazy days by the sea.
Windsurfing, kayaking, sailing and trekking in the Thai jungle are just a few of the adventures on offer. Or you can have an expert Muay Thai boxing session, let swing on the emerald green golf course or kick back with yoga or pilates.
Other activities include tennis and badminton, beach volleyball, bike tours, football, beach fishing, Thai cooking classes and a brand new gym.
Children can also splash around all day in a sun-protected pool or take part in football, trampolining, quad biking, paintballing, jet skis, kiteboarding, water skiing and go carts or look around a mini petting zoo.
The resort is currently offering three rounds of golf for two on their championship course. Guests can enjoy a 4 day, 3 night stay in a luxury villa with complimentary roundtrip airport transfers, unlimited free transfers to and from the resort and the country club, a daily shoe and club cleaning service, plus laundry and pressing for each player’s golf kit, with rates from THB 52, 500 / £1,150 for stays until the 20th December 2016.
