BEAR Grylls has put his name to a lot of outdoor kit so it’s no surprise that he’s come up with his own paramotor.
He absolutely loves flying them and for this BG Paramotor he has worked with his long-standing friends at Parajet International to come up with the design for it. It has an endurance of three hours and can take off in 20 metres.
Bear Grylls, said: “I’m so excited by the launch of the BG Paramotor – I’m a huge fan of the sport and take every opportunity to take to the skies and explore. For me it is my escape!”
Founder of Gilo Industries and Parajet, Gilo Cardozo MBE, said: “We have always loved working with Bear and we feel so proud of what we have created with the BG Paramotor, perfect for the adventurers out there looking to take to the sky for their next expedition.”
They’ve come up with the BG Paramotor Adventurer Package which costs £10,688 + VAT.
This includes:
The BG Paramotor including a bespoke harness, wing and helmet
A bag to hold it in including a first aid kit and water bottle pouch
A BG Ultimate Survival Knife
Propeller covers
A travel luggage system including a travel bag
A spar case and a cage bag
10 days training at BG Accredited Parajet Flight Academy
The 10 days of training is very important. While it is a foot-launched aircraft and therefore you don’t need to have a license to fly it, you’ll well advised to have training. Most students learn within the 10 days. We did it in less with SkySchool and you can read about that here.
The BG Paramotor is quickly and easily put together, and once dismantled can be placed in a large case or the boot of your car.
