If you haven’t seen the series SAS: Who Dares Wins the where have you been?
We’re HUGE fans of the programme and two of the stars Matthew ‘Ollie’ Ollerton and Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox have now set up BREAK-POINT, a service showing individuals how they can achieve their full potential, achieving their goals both personally and professionally.
The pair both served with the Special Boat Service (SBS) so it’s quite fitting that their charity partner will be Turn to Starboard that uses RYA sailing courses to support Armed Forces personnel that have been affected by military operations. Ex-servicemen and women suffering with physical injuries or mental trauma can go on sailing courses and on family sailing trips with the aim of helping them to get perspective on past events in their lives and focus on a successful future.
BREAK-POINT CEO, Ollie Ollerton, 45, said: “We are delighted to announce Turn to Starboard as our chosen charity. The organisation understand the unique demands placed on veterans affected by military operations and are committed to helping individuals re-engage and gain new skills in the marine industry. With our backgrounds in the Special Boat Service, supporting the charity it is a great way for BREAK-POINT to give something back and we are looking forward to announcing exciting new projects and initiatives in the new year.”
Turn to Starboard founder, Squadron Leader (retired) Shaun Pascoe, said: “We are delighted BREAK-POINT has chosen to support our charity to help veterans affected by military operations. As a not-for-profit charity helping injured veterans and their families from all over the UK, it feels great for our team to be recognised by such a high profile organisation for all our hard work and efforts. We look forward to working closely with the company, and with their help we will be able to reach out to more veterans in need of our services to ensure they receive our support.”
BREAK-POINT offers military style training experiences, internal workshops and a recently launched online fitness portal, all available to the corporate and public sector, so if you really want to change things in your life then these guys should be your first port of call. They’re not going to break you, but they will push you so that you can grow.
“With strong concern and empathy for humankind BREAK-POINT supports those in need whether it be from a physical presence or contributions from fund raising and donations,” they say.
