New website called Ridewithlocal helps you find adventure

Over the past year, Ridewithlocal has established itself as the action sports version of Airbnb.

Around 650 locals from over 40 countries have signed up offering their tips and advice on the best places to stay and ride. The site gives instant and easy access to professional locals all over the world who offer all types of unforgettable lessons or guiding experiences. Fancy an exclusive surf and yoga camp in Morocco? Or a heliboarding mission in Canada with top snowboard pro DCP? Or surfing with a local guide in Costa Rica (pictured above)?

The site is becoming so successful that it is offering the chance to buy shares in the company on the brand’s CrowdCube page.

RWL CEO and founder Greg Menshikh says: “Every rider knows the best trips and runs are about local knowledge. And every local guide knows that more clued-up riders mean they can grow their business while helping to protect the local areas they love so much. By cutting out unnecessary middlemen, Ridewithlocal empowers the core action sports community and our CrowdCube campaign means ordinary riders can now help us take that mission to the next level”.

Ridewithlocal has also kicked off  initiatives such as Trash Hunts, where beach cleaners are repaid by RideWithLocal with free surf lessons and this winter’s current Riders For Refugees project that is handing unwanted snowboard and ski jackets to refugees in Greece.
