WE’VE had the car and the plane in lime-green this week so why not end off Week 14 with a lime-green bike?
This one, announced yesterday, is made by MyVelo, the personalised bike brand. As company founder Raj Tandon explains, MyVelo is popular amongst cyclists who “love the idea of being able to choose their colours personalise their bike in a way to suit them”. Sounds good to us Raj.
Bikes which look cool around town but also make practical commuters are becoming more popular in cities throughout the world and coming up with our own colour scheme is one way to distinguish ours in the bike rack. MyVelo’s 2011 model now comes with a glossy lacquer finish making it more attractive and easier to clean. It also has upgraded Shimano shifters and derailleurs. A smaller ladies frame has also been introduced based on customer feedback.
We can design our bike on MyVelo’s interactive website where we can choose colours for the wheels, the frame, the headstock, the sprocket, the handlebars and even the front and rear mud-guards. It’s then built and delivered to our door.
